Werner Staub Co-founder and Partner.
Werner Staub graduated in Economics from the Ecole des Hautes Etudes Commerciales (HEC) of University of Lausanne in 1985. He also holds a postgraduate degree from HEC in Business Information Systems.
His activity in the computer industry dates back to his undergraduate studies when he worked part-time with IBM Switzerland and became an early user of the IBM PC. This experience later led him to work on computer-based training (CBT) for new financial instruments with the Geneva-based International Finance & Commodities Institute (IFCI).
After completing his studies he joined the internal audit department of Credit Suisse and later worked as an analyst for the Capital Intelligence Bank Monitoring Service in Cyprus. He returned to IFCI in 1987 in order to manage large-scale CBT software projects for options trading commissioned by various European financial derivatives exchanges.
After the launch of Axone in 1991, Werner Staub has been involved in a wide range of software, education and marketing consulting projects commissioned to Axone by financial institutions, information vendors and exchanges. Most projects relate to financial derivatives, financial risk management, information technology and the Internet.
